The staff at Smiles on Sandy is dedicated to making your experience as smooth as possible. Our staff has been with the practice ranging from 4 to 27 years, giving them a vast range of experience in the dental field. They have developed long standing relationships with our patients, watching them grow, marry, and have children of their own.

- Olivia
Olivia started in the dental field nine ago as a dental assistant, before moving to the front office. Now, as the Office Manager at Smiles on Sandy, Olivia works to organize office operations and procedures, maintains policies, and is the point person for maintenance, equipment, bills and errands...
Olivia is passionate about wellness and nutrition, and truly believes in the importance of investing in oral health. Outside of the office, Olivia enjoys practicing hot yoga, tending her vegetable garden, and cooking the fruits of her labor. In summer, Olivia can be found hiking the beautiful Oregon trails with her husband Whitney, and their pride and joy... Odysseus, a Swiss Mountain dog.

- Kandice
Kandice is a Portland native. She has been in dentistry for 30 years, working at Smiles on Sandy for much of that time. Kandice enjoys the working atmosphere at Smiles on Sandy because it is, "Professional, yet fun. It’s a really great group to work with." She enjoys the modern equipment and technology at the office, and Dr. Daby’s professional philosophy, which she describes as, "Conservative, yet thorough. Very patient focused." She enjoys dental hygiene because it is a way she can help improve peoples’ lives.
She is very proud of her two grown sons. In her spare time she loves bowling and yahtzee, and of course, walking her dog, Iggy.

My name is Victoria, and I grew up in Vancouver, Washington. I feel fortunate to work in a field where I get to meet people from all walks of life and form relationships with my patients. I enjoy trying new restaurants and bars around the area as well as reading and learning about topics like finance and real estate. I also spend a majority of my time being active and trying my best to live a healthy lifestyle. Thank you for reading!

Hi! I'm Makayla. I grew up on Sauvie Island and am a Disney and animal lover. In my free time, you will most likely find me snuggling my cats and bunny. I enjoy water sports and thrill-seeking activities. A life goal of mine is to be able to live in Hawaii and work as a hygienist for a year.

- Kim
Kim works at the front desk and loves the team-oriented environment at Smiles on Sandy. She has been in dentistry for over 30 years, the last 4 at Smiles on Sandy. She enjoys gardening, hiking, snow and jet skiing. She also loves decorating the office for birthdays and organizing staff craft projects. Kim runs our Facebook page, and is married to Paul and they have 3 children.

- Mallory
Mallory has been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with our Team for over 5 years. She lives in Salem with her significant other and 3 children. On her days off you will find her at the beach, hunting/fishing with her hubby, or making jewelry/crafting with her family. She has 2 dogs, a Great Dane named Gus and a Standard Schnauzer named Walter. Mallory says her favorite thing about working here at Smiles on Sandy is “How everyone feels like part of my extended family. There’s never a dull moment at our office. Everyone here makes our office fun and we are so compassionate about what we do!”

- Brittney
Brittney joined our Smiles on Sandy family in 2018 as an extern from Concorde college. Since joining our team, Brittney has earned her expanded function dental assistant licensing. You could say dental assisting runs in her blood, her mother is a dental assistant as well. If you ask her, she will tell you she loves being a dental assistant because she enjoys being able to perform a variety of procedures that benefit our patients. Her favorite procedures being oral surgery. In her free time, you will find Brittney spending time with her significant other, Bradley, and their cat Nug. She also enjoys attending concerts, camping, and enjoying all the beautiful nature Oregon has to offer.
