Our Team

The staff at Smiles on Sandy is dedicated to making your experience as smooth as possible. Our staff has been with the practice ranging from 4 to 27 years, giving them a vast range of experience in the dental field. They have developed long standing relationships with our patients, watching them grow, marry, and have children of their own.

    Olivia started in the dental field nine ago as a dental assistant, before moving to the front office. Now, as the Office Manager at Smiles on Sandy, Olivia works to organize office operations and procedures, maintains policies, and is the point person for maintenance, equipment, bills and errands...

    Olivia is passionate about wellness and nutrition, and truly believes in the importance of investing in oral health. Outside of the office, Olivia enjoys practicing hot yoga, tending her vegetable garden, and cooking the fruits of her labor. In summer, Olivia can be found hiking the beautiful Oregon trails with her husband Whitney, and their pride and joy... Odysseus, a Swiss Mountain dog.

    Jerri has been a dental hygienist at our office for over 30 years. She has always enjoyed a career in healthcare developing relationships with patients and their families. Jerri says, "the best part about working at Smiles on Sandy is how great my patients are!" In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, canning and raising mason bees. Jerri is married to Curtis, a High School teacher and track and cross-country coach, they have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren.

    Kandice is a Portland native. She has been in dentistry for 30 years, working at Smiles on Sandy for much of that time. Kandice enjoys the working atmosphere at Smiles on Sandy because it is, "Professional, yet fun. It’s a really great group to work with." She enjoys the modern equipment and technology at the office, and Dr. Daby’s professional philosophy, which she describes as, "Conservative, yet thorough. Very patient focused." She enjoys dental hygiene because it is a way she can help improve peoples’ lives.

    She is very proud of her two grown sons. In her spare time she loves bowling and yahtzee, and of course, walking her dog, Iggy.

  • Lesley Paul, Dental Hygienist
    Lesley was born and raised in the Northwest, from just across the river in Vancouver, WA. She became a hygienist about 5 years ago, and has spent most of that time working at Smiles on Sandy. She attended the Utah College of Dental Hygiene, obtaining a Bachelors’ Degree (BSDH). Prior to that she received a BS in Health Science Public Health. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is seeing patients’ motivation through regular care to develop good oral hygiene behaviors. In her spare time you will find her playing with her Miniature Pincher/Chihuahua, attending various local concerts, and cheering for the Washington Huskies.

  • Kim Endresen
    Kim works at the front desk and loves the team-oriented environment at Smiles on Sandy. She has been in dentistry for over 30 years, the last 4 at Smiles on Sandy. She enjoys gardening, hiking, snow and jet skiing. She also loves decorating the office for birthdays and organizing staff craft projects. Kim runs our Facebook page, and is married to Paul and they have 3 children.

  • Mahlena Hunt
    Mahlena, or you may know her as “Mae,” is newer to dentistry.Mae is a proud Portland native. Previously working in marketing and merchandising for Nordstrom and other boutiques around the PNW. Mae is a dance mom that runs her two daughters around to dance competitions and helps at their dance studio with team logo wear. In her spare time, Mae enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, listening to Bob Marley, and loves a carefree trip to Disneyland! Besides working at the front desk, Mae also runs our office Instagram page, so be sure to follow us for fun office photos and office events! @smilesonsandy

  • Mallory Bertrand
    Mallory has been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with our Team for over 5 years. She lives in Salem with her significant other and 3 children. On her days off you will find her at the beach, hunting/fishing with her hubby, or making jewelry/crafting with her family. She has 2 dogs, a Great Dane named Gus and a Standard Schnauzer named Walter. Mallory says her favorite thing about working here at Smiles on Sandy is “How everyone feels like part of my extended family. There’s never a dull moment at our office. Everyone here makes our office fun and we are so compassionate about what we do!”

  • Michelle Whitney
    Michelle is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. She has been assisting for 10 years. She lives in Vancouver, WA with her longtime boyfriend. Michelle enjoys going to the beach, working out and her happy hours! Her favorite part about working at Smiles on Sandy is assisting with cosmetic dentistry, “I love seeing the change in patients confidence once treatment is completed! It really makes you feel like you’re achieving amazing quality dentistry for your patients.”

  • Brittney Felber
    Brittney joined our Smiles on Sandy family in 2018 as an extern from Concorde college. Since joining our team, Brittney has earned her expanded function dental assistant licensing. You could say dental assisting runs in her blood, her mother is a dental assistant as well. If you ask her, she will tell you she loves being a dental assistant because she enjoys being able to perform a variety of procedures that benefit our patients. Her favorite procedures being oral surgery. In her free time, you will find Brittney spending time with her significant other, Bradley, and their cat Nug. She also enjoys attending concerts, camping, and enjoying all the beautiful nature Oregon has to offer.
